Herbal and spicy, Funky and fruity; these beers derive their unique character from the yeast used to convert those sugars into alcohol. Ranging drastically in color from quite light to very dark these beers typically portray a few if not all of the qualifiers above. They can have herbal/earthy notes reminiscent of tea, fruity like apples, stone or dried fruits, or just be downright funky, think of that flavor you get in goat cheese.

Funkelweizen Dark Sour $14.00 | 4.4% ABV | 10 IBU
A Dunkelweizen (dark wheat beer) gone funky. Flavors of sour cherry, wheat, and oak. The original kettle soured version of this beer was the first sour beer Fair State ever made. We've resurrected it in 100% barrel-fermented, mixed culture format.
BOTTLE ONLY. OAK FERMENTED DARK SOUR WHEAT BEER.
$12.00 | 6.0% ABV | 16 IBU
Dried hibiscus petals give this beer a signature bright floral flavor. This Saison is a beautiful full red color in your glass, and offers a hint of tart- nothing too overwhelming. The finish is dry and almost fruity, think berry-esque.
